Although many children can read, the act of reading and the act of comprehending what you read are two very different things. 

Reading requires the fluent parsing and blending various phonetic sounds to create words. 

Reading Comprehension, on the other hand, involves thinking about the words that were just read and deriving a meaning, for just those words and the text as a whole! In simpler terms, reading comprehension is the ability to read, understand, process, and recall what was just read.

Vocabulary knowledge and text comprehension are two main factors that create the process of reading comprehension. Parents and teachers have to pre-teach their children or students these new words that a child or a student  will find in a text or aid them in understanding the meaning of these new words .You can download our  free pdf files to measure your kids' abilities to understand what they are reading .

Reading skills are very important for our kids as they support their success in school because they will help them to improve their language skills and communication with others.
